Apology to Vicky

Early Monday, January 5, 2009:

Hi Honey,

I apologize.

I have been meaning to write this email since talking to Kris very early New Year’s Day.

Reena has been hammering on me demonstrating the error of my ways.  I hate when 19-year-olds are smarter than me!

Then Kris had some tough words to say.

Then Reena beat me up again.

I’m sorry.

From the outset, you made it clear that you did not want a boyfriend.  You are not at fault.

On Christmas Eve, I truly realized you didn’t want me as a boyfriend, and I ended the chase.

I frankly thought you would not mind at all, since you were not interested in me.

I now realize you expected a friend and someone to spend Christmas with.

I have your three Christmas gifts.  I will ask the other Mike to give them to Kris for redelivery to you.

Reena and I are getting along great – kinda.  We fight like hell for a day or two, then realize how foolish we both are.

Right now, we’ve gone a couple of days without fighting.  We fight over VERY stupid things, like whether I should answer my phone when her girlfriend calls when she wants to avoid her girlfriend.  We fight over whether or not I am allowed to eat Sandy’s shoestring potatoes.  You wouldn’t believe how I flip out when I get pissed!

Well, maybe you would!

The big fight a week ago was when, driving Reena home from Intensive-Outpatient, she analyzed my personality faults and cut my balls off.  It hurt so badly because she was right-on!

She’s very affectionate verbally when we make-up.  That’s really nice!

In spite of the fights, I ain’t lettin’ her get away.  She’s permanent!

I hope!

Anastasia always complained that I like to fight.  I think I need a girlfriend who’s into make-up sex!

Mike

Anatomy of the Break-Up with Vicky

dark_shines_by_bengiz-1 “Dark Shines” by bengiz
Late December, 2008 through Early January, 2009:

From Vicky at 12:48 am Christmas Day:  “Are you mad at me?”

From Seneca to Vicky at 12:58 am Christmas Day:  “It was over when you said you weren’t coming home with me.  I ain’t gonna beg for a kiss.  I’m moving on.”

From Vicky at 7:27 am Christmas Day:  “You have no right to be so cruel.  Reena was flippin’ out.  I asked you for a ride but you said for me not to ride with you because of Reena.  I worked so hard too.”

From Vicky at 7:27 am Christmas Day:  “I stressed out over cooking a huge four-course dinner to impress your friends.  Your daughter (friends refer to Reena as Seneca’s daughter) cusses me and threatens me, then you leave me with strangers because you won’t give me (unfinished sentence)”

From Vicky at 7:27 am Christmas Day:   “From all the efforts and care I put cooking to impress you, then to be insulted by Reena, then left behind like a third wheel?  I hope it’s cognac talk, not my ‘Six’.  Sad. ”  (“Six” is the nickname given Seneca by Vicky’s roommate Kris.)

From Vicky at 7:27 am Christmas Day:   “Guess my present in life is to be constantly shit on.  I should be used to it.  I should’ve known a true friend is too much to hope for.  Lonely Merry Christmas!”

From Vicky at 2:20 pm Christmas Day:  “I deserve this loneliness on the holidays.  Guess I’m used to disappointment.  Merry Christmas!!!”

From Vicky at 4:13 pm Christmas Day:  “Last message.  You’re a world of contradictions.  You tell me one thing, act another.  I gave you everything I could offer and all your promises were lies.  You only care about you.”

From Vicky at 4:21 pm Christmas Day:  “You’re full of Christmas spirit.  You can’t be mad at me for when you never made your intentions clear.  Do you feel powerful knowing you constantly professed you’d never leave anyone alone on the holidays, even people you highly dislike.  You offer so much, then leave me in the cold.  Do you get some perverse pleasure?”

From Kris (Vicky’s roommate) at 6:12 pm Christmas Day: “Thanks for taking my girl to that gaytarded party and then leaving her alone on Christmas.  She could have come to Dixon with me if I’d known you were gonna ditch.”

Reena puts out an email bulletin that Vicky eventually sees.  The two have the below exchange:

Bulletin from Reena at 1:40 pm Christmas Day:  ”I snapped on this really nice girl last night and ripped into her and she did nothing wrong.  I feel like such an asshole.  I’m sorry : (“

From Vicky on Saturday, Dec 27, 2008 at 11:08 PM:  “I hope the girl you are referring to was me.  I was really excited about Christmas.

But first I got left at a party with people I didn’t know so Mike could pick you guys up.  I spent all day cooking scalloped potatoes, scalloped corn, and a fat glazed ham.  The night before I made two pecan pies, one to take to Anastasia’s and one for Kris’s party.

Things got outta hand at Anastasia’s and I got left while Mike took you home.  I didn’t sit by Mike because you seemed upset with me, so I gave you time to chill.  Since you were next to Mike and I didn’t want to upset you, Mike got pissed at me.  He left me at the party to get a ride from some stranger.

Poor Sandy got dragged into a room with some Russian guy~ I don’t think she wanted to be with him.  I couldn’t do anything.  I didn’t know what to do.  I was all alone and didn’t know anyone.

Mike made all these promises.  I missed out on my friend’s party, cuz I didn’t want him to be alone on the holidays.

So, after all that hard work, the cooking, missing my friend’s awesome party in my hometown where I could have been surrounded by my old friends, I got shit on.  I spent Christmas alone.  No friends, no presents, and the new friends I thought I had made stabbed me in the back.  No good deed goes unpunished.

I’m glad you apologized.  I still have your present I got you.  Sorry I rambled.  I wanted you to understand my side.  It sucked.  I’ve never been alone on a Christmas, never been treated so cruelly by someone I thought I could trust.  (Mike , not you) ~ Vicky”

From Reena on Sunday, Dec 28, 2008 at 12:46 am:  “If you want to talk about this, you can call me.  TRUST me… I was just a little bit jealous.  I will admit that because I am not intentionally mean like that.  I really do apologize.  Your heart would have been warmed if you saw how much I tried to convince Mike to call you, or give me your number to let me apologize. I felt so bad.  For real…

Because that night I was having my own issues and, if you hadn’t noticed, I was trying to not say anything to anyone that night because my family ditched me and I felt all alone.  I knew Mike liked you, and I had nobody; therefore, I took out my issues on you.  And I wish Mike would talk to you.  He is very irrational sometimes and I told him the way he is being is wrong.  But he doesn’t see it.  I’m sorry :(   I did actually like you.  I think you are a very nice person.

From Vicky on Sunday, Dec 28, 2008 at 4:08 am:  “I am so impressed by your mature response.  You rock.  I tried to change the subject when Mike kept bringing up your family situation.  I didn’t think that was right.  That’s your business, your personal heartache.  Not gossip for others to enjoy.  Both Kris and I have had the most hellacious childhoods growing up.  I mean rough!  Imagine the worst, then multiply.  ( I wonder sometimes if Mike didn’t feed off our agony, he’s so into the little girl lost drama).  Christina and I are totally rooting for you. WE Have Been There!).  I was impressed also to hear the goals you wrote when you were in jail.  Don’t ever stop tryin’.  I’m so close to finishing college and Kris is going right now.  You can call anytime, if you need to talk.  We’d never broadcast your heartache, we’ve been there, and we are better people despite it.~Vicky

From Reena, not sure when:  “That made me cry. You are such a beautiful person. I am so sorry.”

On Monday, December 29, 2008 at 12:36 am, Vicky sends a copy of the above exchange between her and Reena to Seneca along with the following statement:

“~Just these exchanges between Reena and I may make you realize Hennessey was clouding your judgment Christmas Eve.  You discarded me, disregarded my feelings, and I only tried to be a friend.  You owe me an apology, or you’re not the man I believed you to be.~Vicky”

The following is perhaps the final text message exchange:

Vicky to Seneca on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 11:42 am:  “How have you been?  I wish we could’ve continued our friendship, but I realize it’s all or nothin’ with you.  I wish you the best and miss our chats.  All the best.”

Seneca to Vicky on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at 12:26 am:  “Thanks.  The best to you too!”

The Disaster That Was Christmas Eve

holdme-thrillme-kissme-killme-by-ultramaryna-11

“Hold Me  Thrill Me  Kiss Me  Kill Me” by ultramaryna
Wednesday Evening, Christmas Eve, December 24, 2008:

Anastasa had invited Seneca to spend Christmas Eve with her, her live-in boyfriend Gintas, and other Russians.  It was to be a well-dressed evening with good liquor and wonderful food!  Russian parties tend to be elegant and fun.  The gracious and beautiful host, Anastasia, extended the offer to Reena and Vicky when informed they had nowhere to go.

The day started out poorly, with Vicky late on preparing her food contribution to the party.  Worse, she was out of Oxy, and demanded that substance be re-supplied to her before she could once again function as a human being.  She was up partying on Oxy all the previous night with Kris.

Seneca had come to realize that, as cute and fiery as Vicky is, she may not be the best choice as a date.

The official name of Oxy is OxyContin, but on the street it’s often called ”oxycotton”.

When taken in pill form, as intended, OxyContin is a slow-release narcotic prescribed for pain caused by cancer, severe arthritis, sickle cell disease, and nerve damage. The active ingredient in the drug is a morphine derivative, the same as that also found in Percodan.

But when bought on the street, oxycotton is crushed and snorted to deliver a powerful and fast high that many users say is better than heroin.

Depending on the quality of heroin available to an addict, Oxy can be more powerful!

Three hours are lost acquiring product to return Sandy to functionality (getting her off dope-sickness).  Her value is not soaring in the eyes of Seneca.

Vicky gets a late start preparing the food, and they are two-and-a-half hours late arriving to the party.

Seneca is extremely embarrassed.

Arriving home for a quick change of clothes just before arrival at the party, Seneca finds Sandy sitting alone.  Her plans with the black addicts in Maywood fell through.  He throws her in the car and takes her to the party.

Seneca and Gintas, Anastasia’s live-in boyfriend, have become good friends.  Gintas is tall, masculine, laidback, and charming.  His specialty is being able to get the normally non-drinking Seneca to consume copious quantities of alcohol.

When drunk, the gorgeous Reena is willing to have sex with anything that moves.  When sober, she feels terrible about what she’s done.  She asked Seneca and Sandy to protect her from her drunkenness, and stop her from any stupid moves she would later regret.  On the day after Thanksgiving, she asked them to be her protector.

But Sandy wants to take advantage of her.

You don’t mess with Seneca’s adapted daughter!

dying-by-ultramaryna

“Dying” by ultramaryna

At the party, Seneca is sitting in the middle of the couch, Gintas on his right, Reena on his left.  Very near Reena, sitting on a dining-room chair, is Sandy, drunk and and high on heroin.

Sandy begins making-out with the drunk Reena.

Seneca is livid over Sandy’s violation of the trust placed by Reena in them.

Seneca grabs Reena and throws her over himself so she’s sitting between himself and Gintas.  Sitting between these two, no one will mess with Seneca’s adapted daughter.

Seneca vows mentally to get Sandy out of his life as soon as possible.  Seneca cannot believe he brought Sandy to this party of civilized people, and is embarrassed.

Reena is very jealous of Seneca’s entrancement with Vicky over the past two weeks, and begins calling Vicky names.  Seneca strongly orders Reena to shut-up several times, and finally she does.

Vicky was supposed to spend the night in Seneca’s bed, and she changes her mind because of Reena’s conduct.  Reena is successfully sabotaging the relationship.

A Russian, Sasha, asks Sandy if she’d like to go outside for a cigarette.  Sandy agrees, but fails to move.  Sasha asks again, Sandy agrees again, whereupon the Russian helps Sandy out of her chair and takes her into a bedroom, closing the door.

All evening, Vicky has been flirting intensely with a black guy, Nelson.  Seneca cannot blame Nelson, for Sandy is a hot blonde and Nelson doesn’t know that Vicky is with Seneca.  Vicky has chosen to avoid Seneca all night.  Nelson is actually a pretty good guy.

Forty-five minutes later, Sandy is still in the bedroom getting diddled silly by the Russian.

Vicky and Nelson are talking about sex pheromones, believing that each are releasing chemosignals affecting the endocrine balance of the other, causing intense sexual attraction between the two.  They can go fuck themselves.

Reena is asleep between Gintas and Seneca.

Anastasia and Gintas are staring into space with a dazed look, wondering what hurricane hit their home.

Seneca stands up, asks the black dude to drive Vicky home (his dream came true!), apologizes to Anastasia and Gintas, and throws Reena into the car, headed home.  Sandy is left in the bedroom with the Russian.

The Russian takes Sandy to his home.  The two stay in bed another day.  On December 26, Seneca asks Sandy to move out of his home.

Sandy goes on a three-day heroin binge with the black addicts in Maywood, then returns to Seneca, requesting food and shelter till she can get into rehab.  Seneca agrees.

In Seneca’s mind, the relationship with Vicky is over.

It indeed turns out to be over.

Both Nelson and Vicky claim nothing happened on the way home.

Nelson, you can have her!

Sasha continues to whine that Sandy will not call him.

Sasha, Sandy normally does not date white guys.  You got lucky.

Reena blames herself for the Vicky/Seneca break-up, and works hard for a reconciliation.

Reena fails.

Anastasia and Gintas remain good friends with Seneca.

Reena and Seneca remain close.

Sandy’s waiting for a bed in rehab.

The Journey continues.

The Argument

___by_frauplanlos

+-  by Frau Planlos
5:00 am Sunday Morning, December 21, 2008:

Seneca drives Kris and Vicky home after the party, and returns home to face the irate Reena.

Reena:  “Mike, you told her she was beautiful.”

Seneca:  “I do think she’s beautiful, honey.”

Reena:  “But I thought I was the only one you told is beautiful.  You tell EVERYONE that!  I feel like I’m nothing to you!  Your words mean NOTHING!”

Seneca:  “Honey, you’ve become a daughter to me.  You are forever!  You’re the ONLY one I tell is the prettiest girl in the world.”

Reena:  “I don’t believe ANYTHING you say!  You tell EVERYONE nice things!  You tell EVERYONE what you tell me!  Your words don’t mean ANYTHING!”

The argument continues for a full hour, with Seneca unable to convince her that’s she’s special to him.  Finally:

Seneca:  “Honey, in the car I told them that anyone who dates me MUST accept you as my daughter.  That values you over Vicky and Kris and everyone else.”

Reena, herself finally tired of the arguing, throws her arms around Seneca and hugs for all she’s worth:  “Mike, I love you SO MUCH!”

The Party

Saturday Evening, December 20, 2008:

Seneca has become close to Vicky and Kris, seeing them almost every night until 3:00 am or 5:00 am.  They are great fun!

Saturday, the party moves to Seneca’s, and Sandy and Reena join the circus.

Two delicious Aurelio’s pizzas are served, along with plenty of wine and vodka.  Unbeknowst to Seneca, Vicky disappears into the bathroom to inhale “party favors”.

By now, Reena has become a daughter to Seneca, and he has become protective of her.  He hopes she doesn’t notice Vicky’s eyes crossing and her nodding off to sleep.

Reena does notice, and wonders what kind of people her new father hangs out with.

Reena:  “Mike, what are you doing?  She’s an addict!”

Seneca is torn between the physical attraction and fire of Vicky, and her addiction.

Seneca, thinking to himself about Vicky:  “But she’s so cute!”

A Neutral Response

“The Little Red Shoes” by P3T3R KURT3N GROUPI3
Wednesday, December 17, 2009:

Seneca has been with Vicky every evening for a week.

He did not call her today, knowing she would be sleeping late.  He sends Vicky the following text messages:

Seneca at 12:22 pm:  “You are a real woman, the total package, and I like you a little!”

She does not answer.

Seneca at 5:46 pm:  “Miss you a little!  I refuse to admit that I am addicted to seeing you everyday.”

Vicky phones at 5:53 pm:

“Mike, Kris and I are going to hang out at the house tonight.  Let’s get together tomorrow for a couple of hours to drive around and pick up job applications.”

Her response is free of any personal interest in Seneca.  It is either too early in the relationship for her to feel anything, or she just is not interested.

Her response snaps Seneca out of his love-sickness for her.  He realizes that he must be about his own business, and not look to her for an emotional relationship, definitely not now, and probably never.  He will continue the friendship and look for other options.

He rededicates himself to becoming a better person so that he can attract the right woman, and begins to write the Vicky relationship off.

Meeting Vicky

sweet_little_lolli_by_p3t3r_kurt3n_groupi3-1

“Sweet Little Lolli” by p3t3r kurt3n groupi3
Thursday Evening, December 11, 2008:

After driving several girls home after a Christmas Party, Seneca is invited in for a drink by one of the girls.

Relaxing in the living room, he notices another girl lying on a mattress on the floor in the spare bedroom.  The girl, Vicky, is obviously sick, and cannot stop vomiting.

In spite of her illness and in spite of her lack of make-up, Seneca notices that she is attractive.  She’s tall with a nice body, a thick mop of blond hair, and a pretty face.  She’s 31.  He later finds that she is a former dancer.

Inquiring if there is anything he can do for her, he finds that she needs a morphine-derivative pain reliever, and she needs it NOW!

Vicky has deformities which are not visible in both knees .  Her knees are actually quite cute!  This birth defect causes her great pain.  The pain reliever she has used since age 12 is Vicodin and her current usage of four pills per day has been secured by prescription.  Someone has stolen her pills, and she’s without pain relief.  The rules governing prescriptions prohibit her from getting an early refill.  Newly returned to Illinois, she has no doctor who will work with her.

As Vicodin is a morphine-derivative like heroin, she’s going through dope sickness (the same as heroin withdrawal).  She requires Vicodin, Percodan, OxyContin, a different morphine-based pain reliever, or heroin itself.

Seneca is a sucker for a pretty girl who is sick and, very unfortunately, Seneca knows people who know people.  The need for relief is fixed the next day.  The promised prescription relief never does come, and Seneca is turned into doing things he doesn’t want to do in order to keep this pretty girl out of her misery.

On the other hand, she’s full of fire and spirit, and they have great fun.

But even Seneca has limits!

A sick, pretty girl is one thing,

an addict is another.

Dreamin’ on a Christmas Eve

pale_crimson_02_by_retrodiva88-21

Wednesday, December 24, 2008:

Need to get outta town
on a bike goin’ somewhere.
Need to get away from the ladies
whose flesh is forged
by powder from Columbia
and cooked by men
with names like Jo-Jo and Head,
whose mellowness is
from the spirit of the Lady “H”.

At a noisy party Christmas Eve,
Sandy, all f*cked up,
in the bedroom
with some strange Russian.
Vicky, totally sober,
goin’ home with some black dude.
And I thought about callin’ you,
thought about why I always failed you.

Honey, I wanna tell you
that I’m nicely makin’ my way,
but, honey, the way I’m makin’
has no path, no destination.

Thinkin’ about how many girls I’ve met,
their voices callin’,
but what I had with you
will never be forgotten.

I’ve been lookin’
and I’ve been searchin’,
lookin’ for that girl
who can give me
what you gave me,
been searchin’ for you.

And you know
I’ll never find her.
Never will,
never, ever will.

The truth I’m runnin’ from
is that I’ll never find another you.
And as big as my love for you is,
I know what I want will never be.

So I gotta get outta town,
my dreams are a dyin’.
My life and love are so tied to you,
have you ever taken off the necklace I bought you?

I’m givin’ up dating, baby!
I’ve never failed to fail.
It’s the easiest thing to do.
You will never be bested.
No one will ever make me forget
about lovin’ you,
about lovin’ you,
about lovin’ you.

I have my bike
and all her pistons are a firin’
She’s all I have left
and Loneliness is her name.

The above was posted in Craigslist, along with the words:

If you know a girl named Adriana,
tell her that Mike still loves her.

Vicky

you know I’m no good by ultramaryna
Very Early Wednesday Morning, December 17, 2008:

Blog entries have become minimal, and there’s a reason.  Seneca has been busy.  He has been spending every evening with Vicky and her gorgeous roommate.  Although infatuated with Vicky’s roommate, he is even more smitten by Vicky herself, a sexy 31-year-old blond.  He professes his undying love to Vicky.  She responds with a bemused, quizzical look.

Seneca is not sure at all that the woman is romantically interested in him.  She may think of him as a friend only.  They are already invited as a couple to a party Saturday evening and to Anastasia’s Christmas Eve party.

Vicky is a real woman, quite unlike the women-children to whom he has become so accustomed.  Sexy and spirited, she is a fiery American girl,  just like he likes them.  He doubts that Vicky has interest in him, but he continues her pursuit, as they have great fun together.

Of course, Vicky’s roommate is a dancer and Vicky is a former dancer.

Seneca is in love.

He thinks it’s the real thing this time!

We all know the hapless fellow

will soon be brought to his senses!
